93/365

Today I am thankful that Lucy says to me, without any prompting, "I love you SOOOOOO much, Momma!" Melts my heart every single time. I always tell her this every night when I kiss her goodnight and now she has just started telling it to me throughout the day. It is awesome. There is nothing sweeter than those words coming from the mouth of your child. I am convinced. I hope she always knows that I love her SOOOOO much as well. Always, even when she doesn't listen or when she throws a fit and I get upset with her. Nothing could ever fade my love for these two girls. I love them more and more every day.

Still fighting this cold. I could not sleep last night because I absolutely could not breathe. We are so blessed that Annie is still sleeping at night despite all of this. I was so worn down this afternoon that I was praying that the girls were going to take a good nap so that I could lay down as well. As all moms know, when you want them to nap, they never do and when you need them to wake up, they never do. I was SO lucky because Lucy slept for 2.5 hours and Annie for over 3. It made the afternoon so much more pleasant since we were all able to rest up a little. I was so thankful for that time of rest.

The weather is supposed to be really nice tomorrow, so we plan on getting some fresh air to perk us all up again. I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!!

I have a question.

Could someone give me a ride?

We actually heard a real woodpecker outside. I am sure you can imagine how pleased Lucy was about this. This is her bird watching stance! Annie, the dogs, and I were all instructed to stay "very, very quiet so the woodpecker doesn't fly away." Poor Bianca actually got yelled at for barking!

I heard him!!

Oh boy, if I hurry I'll be first to post! I peeked at the pics early and have been waiting patiently. Love the toe pic--and yes, I'll give the gal a ride. And how much fun that we heard the woodpecker! Just make sure he doesn't try to eat your house, like he does ours! So glad for naptime! Get out the zicam and breathe. Hope you have a wonderful restful night. Quit screening me and call your Momma. I want to hear your voice! Love and kisses, Lee Lee

Feel better!
(And there is NOTHING sweeter than hearing your kids tell you they love you. Melts my heart.)
I wish I could be excited about woodpeckers. They are destroying our house 1 hole at a time. Ugh!

LOVE that first pic of Lucy... too cute...
Boodle said to me tonight, totally on her own and AFTER she said 'love you momma',
"you're a great mom"
seriously-
I just want to melt to a puddle on the ground when she says that...
That is ALL the affirmation I need(I just need to video it for when she is 15... HA!)

Annie's little toe sticking up is adorable! What a great picture.

I wanted to also mention how impressed I am with your 365 challenge. I remember telling everyone I would blog everyday when we were in Vietnam and it was SO hard towards the end....and we were only there for 16 days. So making it to 93 and still going strong is awesome! Great job!

Hope you are all feeling better soon.

That girl cracks me up with her birdwatching/listening stance! haha!

so glad you got some rest. Addy had one of those marathon naps yesterday - very odd. She hasn't had a 3 hour nap since she was itty bitty. Too bad I wasn't even home to enjoy it :(

LOVE the toe. LOVE it!

Your girls are precious. Annie has changed so much lately. Maybe it's because her hair seems to be looking thicker?!?
As always, I love your pictures of the girls and your positive posts. Even when you're not feeling so well, you always have a way of being positive. Maybe Little Annie is learning this from you. :)

I've never signed before, but I am a mom of 3, special ed. teacher, wife and breast cancer survivor. You're girls are beautiful. I love woodpeckers. Can you put up a window or hanging bird feeder for Lucy? We always feed the birds, but this Spring we put up a feeder on the patio and filled it with little peanut/suet pellets. We get tons of woodpeckers---big and small and we can see them from the kitchen window.

So sweet of Lucy to tell you that she loves you. I agree - that is the best feeling ever. Matty started saying "Bug you, mommy" and I melt every time. I'm glad you got some rest. It's so hard to be "on" full time and sick at the same time. Whatever is going around is so nasty. I hope you get well soon.
