Today I am thankful for making it to day 300!!! So crazy that we are down to only 65 more days left in this decade. Wow. Seriously people, wow.
I feel like I am running on empty. I just can't keep up with everything. I absolutely have to use every second of every day effectively and that gets old. I would love just a moment of calm. The worst is that I feel like the girls are not getting nearly the attention from me that they deserve. We did make a trip to the pumpkin patch today, which was nice for them. The house is a wreck. That has definitely gotten put on the back burner for now. I despise the house being like this. DESPISE it, but I can't stress over it right this moment. Since this is my first ever holiday season as a phototgrapher, I just didn't know what to expect or how it was going to go. I have probably taken on too much, but live and learn, right? I just hope we all live through it!!! :) I can see the effects of me being not as focused as I normally am on our family. It is just hard right now and the next month it will only get worse. At least December and January will be family focused months for me. We will all need that.

Yea! A trip to the pumpkin patch!! Yahoo! All this stuff is certainly a learning experience, so after the first of the year you'll know how many sessions to take on, etc. We are all so proud of you, but give those girls some extra hugs and kisses from me!
I seriously think I have seasonal affective disorder. These gray days are getting me down. Have had a bad headache all day--partly due to no cokes/caffeine! Hope it's gone tomorrow.
Off to see who's lost the most weight. Lots of love, LeeLee
Kelly, don't fret or worry. I can tell how much you love your girls and they know it, too! Any new job requires a learning curve and has some kind of effect on the family. You are strong and have a wonderful sense of knowing what your girls need. Listen to your heart and let it lead you! Hang in there.
Karie
It's obvious you are a great mom! Knowing that you long to give the girls even more attention than you already do says a lot about you. Your girls are blessed.
I love Lucy's outfit! The girls are adorable.
I feel your pain...it really is hard to find balance isn't it? I HATE having an unkept house as well...it makes me insane.
I am just finishing up my busy season...and I am glad for the break. So glad to focus on my family again. The work at home thing is soooo tough. Miss P. will be starting preschool next spring as there is no way I can do this with no help again.
Hang in there! Maybe you need to raise your prices and take a few less clients :). I've put a limit on how many I take per week now...it just gets too crazy otherwise.
You really should try and take some time for yourself if you can...just 2 days off...that always helps me. xoxo
just take it one day/one task at a time. i completely feel you on being overwhelmed. i feel like i could crack at any given time. you are a wonderful momma to those girls and just because you are only giving them 100% instead of the normal 110% doesn't take away from that. no worries. it wouldn't be an issue if you weren't such an awesome mom! :) and if you want to see a dirty house just come on over. mine hasn't been cleaned since i started work.
I feel like we are always our own worst critics.. we see what an amazing mom you are EVERYDAY.. like 300 days in a row lol!! I think you are to hard on yourself your amazing and using your talent and sharing that with all of us very lucky people is awesome, but I would agree that if you feel like you have taken on to much you might have to start saying no... if your like me that is so hard to do, especially when you are first starting up right!!
Anyways your awesome! Hope you get a good nights sleep and the house fairy comes by and cleans for you!! hehe
Kelly, I'm right there with you! And I don't even have kids, so kudos to you for getting through an even crazier schedule than most! I sometimes wonder how I make it from A to Z everyday without losing my marbles, and I wholly attribute it to what you said - I greatly underestimated the holiday photography season. Who knew?? All I can say is, "get here Christmas!" I think life will begin to slow down then. Right?? That's what I keep telling myself :)
Girl I know JUST how you feel. I am BEAT! I just FALL into bed but can't even sleep well because of everything on my mind. It is just go-go-go and I do not love it. Today I took the day off to go to the Renfest and it was a nightmare when I got home to a full day's work. There's just no winning!
LOVE YOU PIC ON MJ. LUCY LOOKS
PRECIOUS AND THE LOCATION WAS
BEAUTIFUL. LAST YEAR MY DAUGHTER WAS A MJ TRUNK. SHE HAD TO QUIT AS SHE TAUGHT SCHOOL AND HAD A BABY. BY THE WAY LUCY LOOKS LIKE A MJ GIRL. SORRY FOR THE HARD FEELINGS YOU FELT LAST TIME.ritawages@bellsouth.net
You are the Mom with multi tasks, your girls are happy, your career is blooming, your homefire is burning, you should be proud of your accomplishment, and relax, give yourself a break. Love to see Lucy with hairbow again, and only 65 days left, wow, we will be very sad.
Hi! I have been looking at your beautiful pictures and adorable girls for a while, but never commented. Just wanted to let you know that I was so upset when I saw we only have 65 more days of daily pictures. I think you should continue for another year! :) Maybe not the best advice when you are already feeling overwhelmed, but do know that I love your blog!
Also, maybe you deserve a maid during this busy season...you have certainly earned some help!
I know what your feeling
I feel like we are always our own worst critics.. You are too hard on yourself. Sometimes you need to step back and take a deep breath and look at the beauty you created around you.
we see what an amazing mom you are EVERYDAY.. It shows in your pictures and your beautiful childrens faces and smiles
