Today I am so thankful that our neighbors offered to keep the girls for us so that we could go to the concert last night. They have a 1 year old and I know how exhausted you are by the time it is bedtime, so I just really appreciate the help and allowing us to do this on such short notice. I owe you!!

So, the concert was AMAZING! Seriously. Loved every single second of it. U2 is just one of those bands. They are in a league of their own and that was made even more clear by seeing them live. The production was just incredible. I also love them even more because of all of the work that they do to make the world a better place. Their One Campaign has done so much for Africa. When Bono would talk about it you could just tell how much that project means to him. He has completely poured himself into it and because of that, so much good has been done. Just awesome.

I had a moment last night that kind of just took my breath away. They were singing One, which is of course one of my favorites. The words, "We're one, but we're not the same. We get to carry each other, carry each other" made me think of our babies. It actually made my eyes get teary because then they went straight from this song into the most beautiful version of Amazing Grace that I have ever heard, which just so happens to be Lucy's favorite song and hearing her sing it makes me so very happy. It was one of those moments where you just stop and thank God for the gifts in your life and I did just that.

It really was an awesome night and one that won't be forgotten. We stayed out way later than normal and today has been a tiring one! The littles didn't quite care that we didn't get nearly enough sleep and they were on the go. Early bed for mom and dad tonight!

I took a lot of pictures, but I am too tired to look at most of them, so here are a few.

U2

I can't even begin to describe how awesome this screen is.

So glad you loved the concert. I'm still coming down off my high! I think with waiting for our daughter's referral, I was super sensitive. All the links to Africa and the President of Rwanda was at our concert...ughh. When they played ONE, I sobbed. One Hot Mess. Then, Beautiful Day with a snippet of Blackbird...more sobbing. I've always linked Blackbird with adoption. ANYWAY, AWESOME! The best concert I have ever been to, hands down.

Wow! Amazing pics of the U2 concert. We are seeing them in Norman on Sunday. Seriously can't wait. I have been in love with Bono since the 7th grade. Your girls are darling as ever!

Just pulled the cord out and lost my comments. ugh
So glad that you and Justin got to have a super date night! You really do owe Christy big time!

Funny how much energy little people have, isn't it?? We took Bruiser and Bianca with us to Black Angus a few days ago. Bianca was having a fun ride, Bruiser was shaking like a leaf until we got back home safely and he knew he wasn't going to the vet. He and Papa are starting to snore in unison, by the way.

John and Wyatt's, and the family pics are wonderful. Have looked at them several times. Need some help in picking Christmas card pic and canvases. Hard to choose.

I loved Coach Mo, and really don't like the way Tracy plays the game. ugh

I thought you guys had come to town to surprise us because I saw a car like yours drive by the house!! Had I not known you were getting yours worked on, I would have thought you snuck in!

Am actually going to make it to Bible Study tomorrow. They are probably going to faint. I'm sure I've missed a really good one. Trying to get back on track. Speaking of which, how's the laundry???????

The girls look precious. Love and kisses, LeeLee

PS--the concert pics are fab. Didn't know you could take pics--altho I'm sure yours didn't use the flash! Robin Williams made a big deal out of no pictures. The cord that came for this computer only gives it power--doesn't charge the battery, or the battery has gone bad. ugh Papa's turn to mess with it!

OK, done dinking for the night! Love, Mom

So envious you got to see to U2! Great photos (of both the concert and your girls)! I know that day-after, tired feeling you're describing. We are seeing Sprinsteen in November. While I'm psyched about the show, I am NOT psyched about the exhaustion that comes the day after doing something so far out of our routine. Invariably that will be the day Maisie has HUGE plans for us to entertain her ALL day! ;-)
About all that fried fair food....just what exactly is a fried 'green goblin'? Is it really safe the fry one so close to Halloween? ;-)

P.S. - to Mom- U2 makes a big deal about openly allowing cameras. That's geat, because most people just want a souvenier of a wonderful time, not to sell the photos or anything like other bands think..my camera is charged and ready for tonight:)
