Today I am thankful for how much fun Annie and Lucy had in the pool today - TOGETHER! We are having a really hard time with Lucy and her patience toward Annie. She does not want Annie anywhere near her right now, which is not easy to make happen. Lucy's transition with Annie went so smoothly at first, but things have greatly changed since Annie became mobile. Lucy is quick to hit, kick, or shove her out of her way and Annie is starting to retaliate in similar ways. It is frustrating to us all, Lucy included. For whatever reason this afternoon, Lucy decided it would be fun to actually play with Annie. Lucy pulled her all over that pool. It was really sweet. I try and really make Lucy feel great about acting like this so that maybe it will stick one day. Any advice for those of you who have had an older sibling act out this way on the best way to deal with it?
To lighten the mood a bit since things have been kind of heavy around here lately, I got a really cute video of Lucy singing yesterday. I thought I should point out that as soon as Justin heard Lucy saying, "Hit it Maestro!" he promptly told her that obviously her dorky mom or her Lee Lee taught her that because no real musician would ever say that. Whatev! Someone is just a little too cool! :) And by the way, I was the one who said it first and Lucy LOVED it!
Bwhahahahaha! Only in the south......

Today I am thankful for the small break from the heat. It was substantially cooler for most of the day today, and let me tell you, it was heavenly. It looked like it was going to rain all morning, but it never did. I wish it would have. My flowers would have really appreciated it. The heat from the past few weeks has sucked all of my energy. I swear I am exhausted all of the time and just have no desire to do anything.
Annie has turned into the all time biggest ham. She does this enormous fake grin all of the time with her eyes completely squeezed shut. It is SO cute. I am trying my best to catch it on camera, but it is proving to be quite difficult. The pictures with the spoon are from yesterday, but I couldn't ever catch the full blown cheese grin. She is also becoming quite demanding. She pretty much thinks that someone should be holding her at all times and she is not scared to let us know when we are not doing exactly what she thinks we should be doing. She turns 15 months on the 1st, so I will do a full report on her progress then. We have one month left until Lucy is a 3 year old. How does this happen?!?!
I have another prayer request. Please take a look at this article: http://www.komonews.com/news/local/49383897.html. This is the cousin of a very dear blog friend and she has gone missing. Sherri and I travelled to VN together to bring home our Lucy and Gracie. They were roommates before we brought them home. I know that this must be the scariest thing, so please pray that this little girl is safely returned home immediately.

How sweet is this?!?!
Today I am thankful for Justin being back! He got home early this afternoon right as both girls were waking up from nap. Lucy took a bit of time to wake up, but once she did, she was so excited that she was just running in circles throughout the house. She is currently upstairs chilling with her Dada. So cute. Annie has not let him put her down while he is within her sight. She dove straight for him when I got her up from her nap. I just love it when the girls are so excited to see him. Two weeks is a long time for dad to be gone, so I always worry that they are going to be kind of mad at him when he gets home. We all have really missed him and are thrilled to have him home!!
I would appreciate another round of prayers for my friend that lost her baby this week. They are having the Memorial service tomorrow morning and it is going to be really difficult for everyone. I have appreciated so much those of you who have said you are praying for this sweet family. They need your prayers.
Here I come Dada!
Killing me!
Life id definitely better when Dada is home!

Today I am thankful for Lucy sleeping dry through the night in panties last night! Woot woot! She did wake up and go twice in the night, but that is just fine by me. I am so proud of her. My mom and I have both agreed that it is just like she has done this forever. Love, love, love having potty training done with her.
We had donut Saturday with Lee Lee this morning. The girls got up extremely early today - both were up by 6:45. My mom got up with them and told me to go back to bed. Love that. I had fallen back asleep and woken up. I was in Lucy's room and there is no clock in there. I got up because I thought for sure it was very late in the morning, but it was only 8:00, which is our normal wake up time. Oh well, I am super thankful that I didn't have to get up at 6:30. Anyway, once I was up, we got donuts and then played around the house the rest of the morning. We didn't get out of the house until dinner time because it was so hot again. At 7:15, my car said it was 102 degrees. Miserable! At dinner tonight I am pretty sure Annie out ate Lucy. She chowed!! She is doing so awesome with eating.
Justin gets home tomorrow and we are all very excited to see him. He has been gone for a very long time and we miss him and I know he misses his girls.
This girl is a puzzle lovin fool. And she is VERY good at them.
Let's do it again!

Today I am thankful for our air conditioner! It is miserably hot here. I swear we can't even be outside unless we are in some sort of water. I hate to even run errands with the girls because the car gets so terribly hot. I am scared of what July and August are going to be like. We are already in the triple digits, so I am sure we won't be getting any cooler for several months. Ugh.
My mom and I did take the girls out for a while late this morning because we had a house showing. We then ate lunch with some friends and came home for naps. I worked for a while this afternoon. One more session down. I hope to get the other two done tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Today I am so thankful that my Mom got in town to stay with us for a few days. It is such a relief to have her here. Lucy and I made cupcakes for her birthday. Of course Lucy was about to pop she was so excited about those cupcakes. She had to have a candle to blow out just like her Lee Lee.
Thank you to everyone who wrote that your were praying and thinking of my friend who is going through such a difficult time at the moment. I have not stopped thinking about her all night and day. I just can't get it out of my head. She and her husband need all of the prayers that they can get, so please don't stop. I have talked to God more today than I have in a long, long time. I simply can't imagine the pain that they are going through.
I am going to get you!
Here I come.
