I have to admit it felt totally bizarre to not post yesterday, but it was a perfect example of why posting every single day can be such a drag. Today I am thankful for the very fun evening that Justin and I got to have last night. Nana and Grandy are at our house for the Cowboys game, so they watched the girls for us last night and J and I went to the Jack Ingram concert. If you do not know who Jack Ingram is, check him out. He is awesome. I really prefer his older music, but the new stuff is great too. And girls, he is cute. Like really, really hot. And I hung out with him last night and thoroughly enjoyed myself. :) Don't worry, Justin knows that I love Jack. He has just accepted it. They're friends and I am sure Justin has told Jack that I love him in an attempt to embarrass me. And not only was the show fabulous, but I got to hear him sing Goodnight Moon with just him and a guitar to about 15 people. A-MAZING! All of this made me a very, very happy girl. And to top things off, I got to sleep in this morning, so the many vodka sodas that I had didn't hurt quite so badly. It really is such a treat to get to do something fun with Justin and know that I don't have to worry for one second about the girls because they are in very good hands. Thanks Andy and June. You guys are the best.

Today was the highly dreaded "Take Christmas Decorations Down" day. I really despise this day. It is so much work to get Christmas up and back down. Lucy and Nana were my very big helpers. June pretty much had to keep Annie out of everything because she was not pleased when we were all trying to work. The trees are totally undecorated but still up until tonight when Justin and Andy get home from the game and can get them down. Justin lucked out of this fun day and got to go to the Cowboys game instead. He owes me big time. June helped me dust and I bet I vacuumed up a pound or two of glitter. It feels nice to have the house back in order. Well, kind of back in order, but this was a big step in the right direction. And very very unlike myself, I actually completely unpacked myself and the girls when we got home yesterday. I am very glad to have that awful task over with, too.

Lucy got a sleeping bag from Santa and she loves it so much. Since Andy and June are here, she is in our room. She normally sleeps in the bed with us, but she wanted in her monkey sleeping bag. When we got home from the concert last night, I wanted her to get in bed with us, but she refused because the sleeping bag was much cooler than sleeping in our bed. :( She has just been being so precious in the middle of the night lately. She just wakes up and smiles at us and lets us love on her and then goes right back to sleep. Sweet baby. I wish Annie would sleep with us sometimes, but if she gets out of her room chances of her doing any sleeping are slim. I still try a lot and it never works.

Lucy and I said goodbye until next Christmas to every single ornament.

Really cool pictures today! I like the perspectives used. You and Lucy saying goodbye to each ornament is so cute! I agree--taking down is MUCH less fun that putting up Christmas!

Cool pics, Kelly. I, too have been working on taking down Christmas. Altho, I've sort of enjoyed it because I looked at everything really well, and tried to pack it better than last time. Seashy and I got a couple more big containers to put stuff in, then she hit the road because of a winter advisory. She said the highways were fine, but icy in Fayetteville. Ick. It is sort of snowing/sleeting here.

I still think it would be fine for you to post everyday.

Hi to Andy and June. Kiss those precious babies for me. Love, LeeLee

PS: Sure is quiet around here. ugh

I loved some of my stuff this year so much that I kept it out! I know in a month when it's finally time for it to be gone I will be kicking myself as we drag out the ladder to make one last trip to the attic. The santa key just makes me so happy as do my MIL's old ornaments! I just love Christmas and wish I had a big house to really do up right!

Love the Bokeh! I hate taking down the decorations, but it has a somewhat comforting feeling to have everything back to 'normal' when all is done.

I was very happy to read your blog 365 last year! I wish I had the ambition/follow through that you have. I love all of the pictures and your techniques are amazing!! I hope to have more fun with my camera and put up more pictures this year than I did last year.

That's funny...Eliza will sleep in bed with me, but with Sollie it's impossible. I tried the other day and I woke up to him banging the foot of my bed, ready to fall. I can't remember how old Eliza was when she started sleeping in my bed, but I'm guessing she was over a year? Cute pictures! I cleaned up our decorations this afternoon as well.

Missed you Sunday morning Kel, but I'm glad that you and Justin had a great night out and you got so much taken care of. I'm going to have to tackle my dreaded tree today...been putting it off for days now.

Oh pretty pictures! I do miss your posting daily, but you've inspired me to do my own 365 Project. Even tho my photos will pale in comparison, I think I will be happy to have a year documented in the life of my kiddos. I bet the concert was AWESOME!

Love your pics! Concert sounds great. I can't bring myself to take down our trees. I just can't. We undecorated our house otherwise but the trees will be up awhile longer.
