The girls got Build-A-Bear gift cards from the Corley family for Christmas and then right after Christmas we got a thing in the mail for $10 off your $30 purchase, so we had money to spend on some new friends today. Lucy chose a Polar Bear and Annie chose a traditional floppy eared bunny. They are both very cute. Lucy chose a metallic gold coat for her bear - great choice I might add. Annie didn't care about clothes, so we skipped those for her. Lucy also chose a little sound thing for her bear. Annie was really only interested in pushing the store's sample stroller around while Lucy looked through everything. After you build your animal, you put your info into a computer program so that a birth certificate prints out. Naming the babies is always a big ordeal for Lucy. She currently names all of her babies Sarah, so of course her bear was named Sarah. Then we were filling out what Annie's bunny would be named so we asked Lucy what she thought Anners would like. She replied instantly with, "Noodle Doodle," so went put Noodle on the birth certificate. When we were walking up to pay, the lady was handing our birth certificates to the cashier and I overheard the lady say, "Here you go. Here are the papers for Sarah and, ummmmmmm, Noodle." And she made this funny face. It cracked me up. Cayce - the girls are loving their new babies. Such a fun idea.

I got my living room cleaning done today and I finished tackling my closet. Well, kind of. It is very clean and organized. I still need to get out loads of hanging clothes and things in the drawers, but we are out of room for all of the cleaning out that I have been doing since I really do want to have a garage sale this spring. We have been taking it all over to the storage unit we have and there is no more room, so the other clothes will just stay where they are until the sale day. I also cleaned out the storage under my bathroom sink. Yikes. I filled up a huge bag of trash from the bathroom and closet. I love that it is gone. So nice.

I started something new today and I wrote down my daily goals. I am almost done with them. I still need to finish editing the session I planned on doing today, but I can do that while I watch my shows tonight. If I hadn't written them down, a few things - like putting away the clean laundry - would have just gotten ignored. But since I had written it down, I felt like I had to do it and I am so glad that I did. I am going to try and start writing down the 5 most important things that I want to accomplish each day. I think it will make me more accountable.

I want to say how awful what has happened in Haiti has been to watch. If you can donate anything at all to helping the Haitians begin to recover from such a horrific event, I think you should - anything is better than nothing. We donated through World Vision, but there are lots of wonderful groups to send some relief through. I just can't even imagine what it is like being there right now. Our church had 12 missionaries there. They have all been accounted for, thank God, but there are so many others who haven't been so fortunate. It is just so sad and that country is at the very top of my prayer list for now.

OK, love the new animals--especially the names! Sounds like a very fun outing.

I just donated thru redcross.org I hope that tons of people do. The devastation just blows my mind and the images are so painful to view. We all need to really keep the prayers going. I'm so happy that your churches' missionaries have all been accounted for. That's a miracle in itself.

On a happier note, hug and kiss those girls tons for me! Love and kisses, LeeLee

I really want to take my daughter to do a build a bear but we don't have one in my state. bummer. I feel so helpless when it comes to the situation in Haiti. Sometimes prayer and my donation don't feel like enough. Love your girls by the way they are too too cute

You are motivating me to deep clean a room a day. Heaven knows my dear house needs it! I am going to start with the kitchen tomorrow. I figure I might as well start with a hard room.

Love the new animals. My girls name everything after themselves.

We had someone do that for us last year for Christmas and the girls all loved. One of the twins picked the same bunny. The oldest, though, picked a pink bear and then put a lion growl in it. I am not sure why, but she still loves the crazy thing.

I think people underestimate how fun it is for a child to go and pick out what they want on a gift card...my girls always love it!

Yes, I like that. Write it down. And 5 things is an attainable goal.

I'm with you on helping Haiti. It's inimaginable the amount of people this has affected.

That is wonderful news about the missionaries! We have been praying for them and Taylor asked me last night if I had heard anything so I can't wait to share the news! I donated though red cross and hope everyone else does too!

I saw a picture yesterday of two children along the side of the road hurt and so sad, it also didn't appear that they had any adults with them. My heart aches for everyone but especially those that are so lost.. tragic.. made me hug mine extra tightly!

on a lighter note - your mom and husband are cracking me up!!
