Lucy 207/365

Annie 207/365

Today I am thankful for Lucy's birthday party being a success! The kids were so precious and they all had a wonderful time. After our attempt to have a party at our house last year when it was 104 degrees, I vowed to never do that again - unless we have a pool some day. So we did a Pump It Up party and it was so easy and not stressful. Loved it. Lucy took a little while to warm up, but she ended up just loving it and having a great time. Some of her little friends were totally fearless and flying down the HUGE slides. It was hilarious. I went down the slides several times and did some jumping in the bounce houses!! The pictures from the party are terrible because obviously there was very little light in the jump rooms and I was trying to enjoy the party and not live behind the camera. I am going to do a full blown 3 year session for Lucy, but have not gotten that done just yet. I will maybe try and get that done this week while Justin is home to help with Annie.

Lucy really, really loved her dollhouse! She was so cute this morning coming down and seeing it for the first time. She had a birthday donut with candles waiting for her. We played and played with family this morning and got everything ready to go while the kids napped. After the party, we came home and opened presents, ate some dinner, and put the girls to bed. It had been a big day for Lucy and she needed to go to bed early. She still has a tendency to get a little overwhelmed for big events like this.

I am so tired and off to bed.

Lucy looks so happy! It does seem like everyone had a great time. The cake is just adorable and, yep, gotta love the boots. That dollhouse is fantastic. (I have been looking for the perfect one for Petunia for Christmas.) Hope everyone gets some quality sleep tonight. Can't wait to see the photos from the session you're going to do with Lucy.

P.S. Just so everyone knows, the dress Annie has on from yesterday is REALLY cute, you just can't see it. Kelly refused to get a good shot of it.

What an awesome party!! You guys looked like you had an absolute blast!

That birthday cake might be the most adorable thing ever too!

(I've been following your blog for awhile and don't think I've ever commented. Your pictures are amazing and the girls are beautiful! I can't remember how I found your blog but was completely mesmerized by it because I was adopted from Korea as a baby. So I love to hear about other adoptive families.)

Okay that looks like so much fun! And that girl with her long, long legs...how did we manage to get two tall Vietnamese girls? Glad you enjoyed the party too! Wish we were closer, I can't find anyone I want to take G's 3 yr pics. And that little Annie...she is one seriously happy girl.
