Annie 202/365

Lucy 202/365

Today I am thankful for my parent's helping me out with the girls again today. I have been have horrible sleep issues the past week. I battle insomnia and it seems to come and go in waves, and for some sad reason, it is driving me crazy at the moment. I could not sleep last night. 3 out of the 4 past nights have been really bad for me, and it caught up with me in a major way today. We were supposed to drive home this morning, but since I had been up all night there was no way that was happening. I did get some sleep during the day while my parents watched the girls. We are going home tomorrow no matter what. I swear! I have already loaded the car.

Thanks for all of the people that commented yesterday with suggestions and encouragement. I appreciate it! I am going to start doing some of those things. You guys had some great ideas. I really like the idea of guest writers. That is fun. I have already told Lee Lee to be thinking of some of her parenting tips, because she really does have a lot to share. Of course, she acted like she didn't have anything worthwhile to say. I'll get her though!

Seashy, since I know you will be jealous and you asked what we have for dinner, we had chicken noodles tonight. Yummy!! Annie loved it. Speaking of Annie, she slept for 15 hours and 15 minutes last night. She went to bed at 6:30 pm and woke up for the day at 9:45 am. Now, if she could just teach me her secret.......

I am off to relax before bed. I am being positive about getting a good nights sleep tonight.

I really like the idea of having different family members do posts. Sisters, parents, Justin...I bet they all have lots to say. Plus they could give you a breather.

Pumpkin, we are going to lick this sleep thing or else! I do believe we will think positive thoughts about this issue (an issue which stinks, by the way!) I had tennis at 4-5:30 this evening. When I got home, Kelly and both gals had already been thru the shower! And, she had gotten the chicken ready for me to finish up. Yea for help. What she failed to tell you Seashy, is that then we got to go to McDonald's and get ice cream sundaes!! Lucy ate her WHOLE sundae, and has been on a sugar high from all the hot fudge. Annie even tried a tiny bite of ice cream. Annie is really trying to walk--three steps in a row today, catch her balance, and go again. Such progress! And no, Annie does not get grumpy. I know Dada is missing his girls terribly. I will miss them, too. Drool and all. Love and kisses, Lee Lee

To Holly and Amy--don't let the picture of Annie and Bentley freak you out! He seems to love the little gals. Thank goodness! Lee

Did you listen to your hypnotism cd every night faithfully for 30 days?! You know I'm a huge fan and believer. It totally changed my life. But it won't work if you don't listen to it. How's that for an infomercial sounding spiel? A little creepy sounding. Sorry. It's true though.

I think you should come spend the nights with Taylor, the child who as a baby would pull out her eyelashes in order to stay away and who woke me up no fewer than a dozen times last night to tell me things like "the refrigerator here doesn't have magnets, I've never seen a refrigerator that doesn't have magnets". The two of you could solve all the worlds problems while you lay awake at night. Or perhaps just play Candyland and talk about princess movies. She would love to have another non-sleeper to keep her company.

Meanwhile, Annie and I could be logging in 15 hours. Ahhhh, the bliss. Pure bliss.

Seriously though, I hope you get some rest! I know you need and want it!!

Have you tried melatonin tablets? They are perfectly safe (you can take something like five at a time if you really wanted to), as melatonin is what your body naturally produces to help you sleep at night. They don't have the hangover that regular sleeping pills do and you can find them at just about any grocery store or health food store. They are a much gentler and natural alternative to sleeping pills. A doctor even suggested them for my five year old (although, he only takes half) when he has trouble sleeping at night.

sorry I've been MIA for a week or so-on vaca and haven't been on the computer! but, it is always fun for me to catch up with lots of your posts! I will say a little prayer for you on this insomnia thing. And of course I have to say that all of your pictures are really cute-the girls look so cute together on the golf course! Love the idea of guest posters-would be interesting for everyone and also fun for you-and there is nothing wrong with a little break for you!! If I think of anything else, I'll write it in a later comment. Congrats on 200 posts. amazing if you ask me!
