Lucy 363/365

You can see evidence of the cold that has been passed around from family to family. Papa and Adam are not feeling well. There are just a few germs being passed around this house at the moment.
Annie 363/365

Today I am thankful for all of my awesome clients that trusted me this year to capture their families. I still am shocked at how well things went for La La in my first year of business. I have lots of fun things for 2010 and I can't wait to get started. This whole year has been a big learning experience, and I feel confident that things can only get even better from here. Again, thank you to anyone reading this that has had a La La session.

I am going to do what was suggested in a comment and post my favorite picture of the month of each girl from the past 12 months. I feel so lucky to have so many precious pictures of my littles from this year. A few months I couldn't narrow it down to just one per girl.

Noooo, Kelly!! It feels like the curtain is coming down on a great production.

So many wonderful photos of the girls...the change in Annie is truly remarkable. She has come a looong way.

And your photography skills (and confidence) have also improved so much over the last year, too.

It has been a joy to watch you capture priceless moments for your families.

Thanks so much for sharing your family and skills with a large, impersonal audience.

BRAVO.

Great post, Kelly! Your girls are so lucky to have this year recorded for their enjoyment in the future. A favorite of one of my personal pictures is when you and Holly came to Steph's ballerina birthday party and everyone was dancing in their tutu! It has been so much fun to read leelee's comments. She has such a great personality and I can hear her voice as I read her comments. You have such a great family and Lucy and Annie are so blessed to be a part of it. I am thankful that Steph introduced me to your blog! Your dedication is amazing! Jan Patterson

That March picture of Annie is so sweet - I love her HUGE eyes and shy smile.

I hope you don't mind my asking, I just had a quick photography question: if I wanted a professional photographer to take a picture which has the look of the October favorites, how would I ask them for it? I don't know if you process the pix afterwards or if they just are taken in a certain light, but I love the effect.

Thanks in advance and thank you for your dedication to this project. It has been a delight to see your business take off and to see both your beautiful daughters and your talent grow.

I LOVE this post, and I, too, can't believe that the year has flown by this quickly. I know you don't want the daily pressure, but think about it! he he he

All is quiet around here! Amazing how the quiet fills up the kitchen when 4 munchkins have gone to sleep!
Love and kisses to all, LeeLee

This post is awesome! Your April Annie pic is what brought me to your blog in the first place (through I <3 faces). I adore the girls' vintage outfits in the July pics!! You are a fashion inspiration - I seriously dream of having little girls someday to dress up as cutely as you do with your girls! Happy New Year and I pray next year will continue to bring blessings to you and your family.

This was awesome. The changes in Annie are remarkable. I see why these pics are you favorite. You are an inspiration to me as a photographer!! Happy New Year. I am certain this next year will be amazing for you. I was disappointed that it didn't work out for us to have a session with you for New Year's, but maybe in 2010!!!

So stinking cute, each and every one of those pictures! Love it. So proud of you for completing your project!!!! This is seriously some accomplishment Kel! I'm thinking next year, you should do a weekly update...that way you don't have to feel the pressure of doing it on a daily basis, but we still get to (selfishly, maybe?) see their smiling faces throughout the year. I can't believe how much they have grown over the year and hate that I didn't get a chance to see them when I was home! But I am glad that I got to see you. Loves!

ATL: the October photos are from a sunset shoot with strong back lighting. So, the sun was setting directly behind the girls. It is hard to shoot, but beautiful when it works.

Absolutely GORGEOUS pictures of your beautiful girls!! I love how you have captured every side of both girls. The quiet, sweet, silly, and playful. And your black and white conversions are the best I've seen!!

beautiful! It's so sweet to see their little faces grow.

I just purchased my first DSLR and if pics of my girls turn out half as nice as yours I will be happy. I have a good bit of learning to do to get even half way there!

You really do have a gift and an eye for photography. I hope you always enjoy it!

Absolutely love them all. What a year!!! I've been a faithful reader and have thoroughly enjoyed following along all year. Your girls are stunning and you have captured so much of them this year. I do have to say one of my faves from this year that didn't make the final cut was the golf course photos. But how can you narrow it down when they are all breathtaking? ;o) Thank you for sharing your lives with us this year. Happy New Year!!

I am thankful for... your blog which keeps me hopeful in my wait, and motivates me to persue my passions and think (and take action) out of the box :)

This year has been a year with huge changes for me, including quitting a good job at an airline of 20 years, to go on to something else for when our adoptive child will arrive from the Philippines.

In this time I started a translation business and will also pursue my hobby of photography. Here is where you have inspired me very much in the past weeks since I 'stumbled' into your blog. (I don't believe in coincidences)

Thank you for sharing your experinces and your gifts, and your family with the rest of us.

P.s. Is there a link where one can send you a mail on your blog? I just had some small questions, but only if it doesn't take too much of your time. God bless all of you, Vee

I love this post! Thank you for the "summary!" It really shows how versatile you are as a photographer...you should post these on the LaLa website! I too have followed all year (finding you through Sugar Photo Blog)...but rarely comment...sorry! I will SO MISS your daily posts/photos. I just started to learn photography and have a long way to go before I am even half as skilled as you...but hope to take some great shots of my daughter (2.5 years old) someday!

All your pictures are so amazing, I don't know how you narrowed it down, but the ones you chose are all beautiful. Your girls are so adorable. You are a very gifted photographer. You mentioned posting other pictures along with the girls. I hope you do that, along with "as close to daily" photos of Lucy and Annie as possible. Thanks for sharing this last year with us. I love starting off my day looking at your blog. You have been very dedicated. Enjoy the new year with your family.

P.S. How do you take pics without using your flash? You never seem to have shadows? I suppose it has something to do with the aperture, but I'm not that good. Just wondered how you set your camera.
