337/365

Annie 337/365

Lucy 337/365

Today I am thankful for the mandarin green iced tea at Pei Wei. Have you ever tried it? It is the most yummy drink in the whole world. I had to get one to go and I can't stop thinking of how much I love it. The girls tore up some Lo Mein with chicken tonight. Lucy ate with chopsticks (with the cheat thing attached). She loved that. And crazy Annie shoveled it in as quickly as she possibly could. I love nights when Lucy surprises me and just eats. I am thankful for that, too.

I am just so not motivated to take pictures the past couple of weeks. I hope to get better as the month goes on, but I am having a hard time right now. For those of you that have asked, I am not sure what I am going to do next year as far as the blog goes. I am just not ready to commit to posting everyday for another year. We'll see though. I haven't ruled it out.

I have another funny Lucy story to share. She is going to kill me for this one some day, but I just can't resist. I know Seashy will find this especially amusing. When we first potty trained Lucy, within 2 weeks she was sleeping in underwear through the night. She had a couple of accidents occasionally, so I started doing what my mom told me to do. Whenever I was ready to go to bed, I would go in and take Lucy to the bathroom. She literally never woke up for any of this. I would just pick her up, put her on the potty, she would go, and then back to bed. Very easy. She never even opened her eyes and she would just lay her little head on my shoulder while I held her up on the potty. We stopped having to do this a few months ago, but I will occasionally still do it if I know she drank a lot before bed. Last night was one of those nights. Same drill. She never opened her eyes the whole time. But right when I sat her on the potty, she did a huge toot. As her dad would say, "A man toot." It was rather shocking to me but I stayed quiet because she still seemed to be asleep. Then, with her head resting on my shoulder, she giggled about her big toot, which of course made me die laughing. I carried her back to bed and she was immediately asleep again. I am not going to lie, potty humor is big at our house and I can see that it has rubbed off on Lucy. She wasn't too asleep to laugh about a big ole toot. Funny bunny of ours.

I will get back to answering questions tomorrow. I want to watch Private Practice now.

Okay, this was hilarious! I'm sitting her at my computer laughing. My little one is really into potty humor now, too. She loves announcing to everyone whenever she has a 'hiney honk!' Can't help but laugh!

That was funny! Linhsey is known to put out the 'man toots'. Sometimes I will look at my husband and he will quickly point to her and say, " The baby did it!" LOL

Love your blog. I've been reading it for most of the year. I absolutely adore your photography. Could you please tell me how you learned how to use your camera so well? Did you learn totally on your own or take an online/live class? I just received an awesome DSLR for my birthday in August and have been struggling to learn how to use in manual mode. I think I have a somewhat good understanding of composition but struggle with the dials and use of the actual camera. My pictures are constantly coming out blurry even in auto. Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated.

BTW, I blogged for the entire month of November. OMG is that hard. Big round of applause to you for accomplishing this year-long, everyday posting!

K that is to funny.. we enjoy some potty humor too.. my goal in this is that my kids wont be embarrassed about big ol natural toots!! KKKK what did you think of PP ALSO what did you think of the last Greys?? I was bummed how all of a sudden it had been like 2 months wrapped up into 1 show grr! BTW Id love to exchange cards this year!!
I have been a horrible picture taker and I feel horrible about it.. I think its because when your doing it for a job you then get burned out.. Im hoping to get over that and stop being lazy about pulling it out!

Lana thinks toots are hysterical, too. And she can toot like nobody's business. (And, she burbs like a sailor, it's crazy to hear come out of a such a tiny little girl!)

Did you watch PP? The whole show had me on the EDGE OF THE COUCH. Wow.

Lucy and the toot! Too cute!

Have you ever thought of having a little coffee table book made and on each page, maybe one photo from each day and the caption would be whatever it was that you were thankful for on that particular day? (<-- from your year of daily blogging) I don't know...sounded cool in my mind. :O)
