Today I am thankful for my precious, brilliant, beautiful, sassy Lucy Goose. I just love you more than I can ever express. Happy 3rd Birthday, baby girl. I hope you have had the best birthday week that any three year old could ever dream of. I am so thankful to God every single day for bringing you into our lives. The amount of joy that you bring to everyone in our family is just overwhelming. Your dad, sister, and I love you so much.

I took Lucy to the store today and let her pick out one special toy that she really wanted. She looked at every single toy, I assure you and then decided on a play makeup set. She has recently become obsessed with makeup and I was not at all surprised by her choice. We also went to the bakery and she got to pick her own giant cupcake - she chose Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, which was an awesome choice. I thought she would choose strawberry because she said she wanted a pink one, but I knew she wouldn't be able to turn down the chocolate chips in the icing on the ones she chose. After nap we went to a cookout at our neighbors and swam. It was a really fun day.

When Lucy woke up this morning, in our bed - I had gone and gotten her at midnight because I wanted her in there with me, I rolled over and told her that today was her actual birthday and that now she is THREE! She got the biggest grin and has been telling everyone all day that it is her birthday. So sweet.

I am working on her three year update. It is not done yet and I am too tired to finish it right now. I hope to have it done soon, along with the rest of her three year portraits. Thanks for all the birthday wishes to our pumpkin. She will love to read them one day.

Thanks for the cookie, Jo Ellen, Katie, and Hannah! She LOVED it! Sugar overload for this child today.
