41/365

Annie 41/365

Lucy 41/365

Today I am thankful for new opportunities. I think that this is going to be a year of big change for our family - not family size, just other things. We obviously hope to move at some point, I hope to get a photography business started, and who knows what the year will bring for Justin. It is exciting and I think that the changes are going to be good for us all. I want to get rid of unnecessary stress and negativity. I look forward to seeing how it all unfolds.

We had another great day. This morning my mom, dad, me and both girls ran a bunch of errands. My dad loves it when we drag him along for "errand day." He calls himself our chauffeur and he was quite helpful with Annie while the rest of us looked through all of the goodies at Old Navy. We ate lunch at one of my favorite diners today. It is a fun atmosphere and they have awesome milkshakes! We came home and put the girls and my dad down for their naps and my mom and I ran to a few more places. After nap, Lucy and my mom made some cookies and the highlight of Lucy's day was decorating the cookies. She would put sprinkles on the cookie, then eat some. Same with the icing. Lots of fun.

I didn't take many pictures today because we were on the go nonstop and it is rainy and yucky here. I think it is going to be rainy here for the rest of our time here. :(

Sounds like a great day. I'm anxious to learn more about your photography business as it comes along. Do you plan to stay close to your current home, or are you moving far away?

Kelly,
How do you manage to take such great face pictures of the girls, especially Annie? I have my camera in quick shot mode but can never seem to catch Elizabeth in the right moment... she is SO busy ALL THE TIME!
She has the most amazing eyes and I would love her to just hold still so I can get a great picture of them!

Ugh... I have so much to learn. I am signed up for a photography class this spring and much looking forward to it. Now if I can learn how to use the new Photoshop I got, such little time now a days.

I am thankful for the same thing. 2009 is going to be quite the contrast to 2008, huh?

I have to say that this is one of those times when Annie has *drastically* changed from previous pictures. She just looks like a big girl now, not a tiny helpless baby. Her expressions are killing me, her posture is so great, she's just getting big all at once. Do you see it too?

You are an amazing photographer, and you have two beautiful daughters to practice on. I wish you lived close so I could hire you to take pictures of my Asian princesses. What a keepsake your girls will have!
I love your positive posts. You are an inspiration to many, I'm sure.

I'm so excited to watch you dreams take shape, Kelly! I'm feeling like I bit off more than I could chew over here - but I know you will be a success, and I can't wait to see it all happen.
