Today I am thankful for all of the smiles that poured out of Lucy because her day was filled with all kinds of things that she simply adored. First, she put together the fire truck puzzle two times this morning. She loves puzzles right now. Then, she played dress up in all of our old dance costumes and tapped around the house and outside in a pair of my old tap shoes. She just marched around in those tap shoes. It was so cute because they make such a different sound on each surface, so she would move from the deck, to the rock beds, to the grass (she would jump off the grass when she realized the taps made no sound there), to the ceramic tile, and to the hardwood floors. I have three sisters, so the dance costumes are aplenty at my parent's house. This particular costume was Aunt Seashy's when she was 3. After her nap, we played outside for a while until Annie was ready to get up from her nap. Then Papa called from the golf course and said to come up for a golf cart ride. She got to drive the cart, play a little golf, and see the swan. After golf, we ate yummy pizza, came home and swam in a bubble bath, read books, and passed smooth out. This was pretty much a perfect day for a 2.5 year old. And whenever Lucy is happy, Annie is even more happy than normal, so everyone wins!! I love seeing the joy on the girls' faces when they are so happy.
Justin and I both loved Slumdog Millionaire. It was so good. Thanks Mom and Dad for keeping the babies. I am so glad that they were both asleep almost the entire time. Justin put Annie down before we left and she never made a peep! Lucy was more than thrilled to have Lee Lee do her bedtime routine.
Our open house apparently went really well. There were 2 couples that seemed to be really interested. Yeah! One of the couples wants to come back next weekend. Come on!!
I took a zillion pictures today and love a whole bunch of them, so there are a lot today.
I can't even explain how much she loves these tap shoes. She ran in from dinner and put them on again.
The top of the costume got itchy after a while so she took off the straps and just wore it all as a tutu.
Look at her teeth! Babies look so different when those top teeth come in - really, really cute.

and thrilled beyond words at your awesome open house.
Couldn't have been a better day--unless I had a few more daughters and grand boys here to share in all the fun! Love and kisses, LeeLee
Ok, this is my favorite group of pictures. Ever. Of both the girls, I love them all. Great job.
I love the dance pictures!! I am dying over the one of her bending over. Wow girl what an awesome bunch of pictures!
I just love looking at your pictures! You need to enter the top pic in next week's I heart faces wonder contest. I love that one!
Aw man, dang adorable photos. Lucy in the dance outfit with the tap shoes? Too dang cute (LOVE the one of her bending over the fence or whatever it was). Annie of coures it cute too, and then those golf shots? No wonder you couldn't narrow it down - they are all awesome! Sounds like just a perfect day!
Where do you buy Annie's clothes? They are too cute!
Quick Photo question-
are you shooting raw or jpeg?
I have done both but find raw just takes up way too much time. Just curious what your method is.
aww I just love her tapping shoes (as Addy calls them) and costume. your Mom rocks for hanging onto all that stuff. My mom saved *nothing*. And those top teeth on Annie are killer! She looks so big with them!
Love the pictures! That is so funny because I found Gracie some tap shoes at the mall this weekend. I loved ballet and tap. I know Mother has my old costumes. I must invetigate...
Great pictures! (no big surprise there, though:) Sounds like it just about a perfect weekend. I'd love to spend a few that way, too.
LOVE the tutu and tap shoes. Love them! It's looks so different at the golf course without the grass being green.
I LOVE the first one of Lucy and the one with Annie's teeth. :) They do look so much different with those top teeth, don't they? Very sweet.
As always, the girls are so natural, and lovely in all pictures, Lucy is absolutely gorgeous in her dance outfit, and I love all Annie's poses, you can see her exuberant, her nature easy going in all her sweet expressions.
OMG! Not in a million years did I think Bailey was still here!! Girls are growing fast!
I kinda want to be Lucy today! Puzzles and dress up and tap shoes...I would be in heaven. Maybe it's time to get Lucy in some dance classes?!?! She would be a hoot. I'm thinking the very serious one on stage telling the other girls in her class they're doing the steps wrong. Those pics are seriously so adorable.
You always have great photos of the girls, these are the top of top! The one of Lucy looking over the deck from the arm of a bench is just stunning.
BTW, the smaller than jr sized golf clubs are absolutely great and pink too!
These are some of the best photos! Each one of them captures such a special moment. so much fun to see! glad you enjoyed the movie and had such a great weekend!
love, love, love all of these pictures kelly!!!!! what a fun day! i only wish that we had a pic of mems in the dance costume after kathy's baby shower!
Kelly, I love love LOVE the dance costume pictures! I can't even say how much I love them. SO wonderful, they totally capture her joy. I will have to see about some tap shoes for N!
