We took all the kids to Chuck E Cheese's last night. Lucy had never been before and she definitely liked it. She wanted to ride everything and even went up in the big maze/slide. It was a madhouse in there and I must admit, I was really glad when all of the tokens ran out and it was time to go home. But the kids really loved it.
Lucy has been sleeping with Lee Lee and Papa the past two nights because Annie has really been having a hard time in the middle of the night, so it is quiet in their room and Lucy can get some peaceful sleep. She thinks this is the greatest thing ever and has been up until 11 the past 2 nights because she is just so excited to be in Lee Lee's bed. Annie really struggles in the middle of the night. I know that teeth have something to do with it, but sleep has always been a stressful time for her. Justin and I are exhausted because right when we are ready to go to bed, she wakes up and is up crying for the next 2 hours. We are rocking her, bouncing her, patting her, sleeping with her, etc and for the moment, not much is helping. She eventually passes out around 2 and sleeps until 8:30 or so with several wake ups in between that are brief. We are so tired, but we have a lot of help, so that is nice. You would never know that this girl gets so little sleep because she is just so unbelievably happy when she is awake. She is really doing so well. She is putting weight on her legs now and she wants to stand up all of the time. She only has to hold on to one finger to stand up, which simply amazes me considering that even 2 weeks ago she would barely put any weight on her legs. She baby babbles all day and she just has the sweetest, soft voice. It does, however, get very loud in the middle of the night. Hopefully tonight will be better. Please Annie!!
Here are my pictures for the day.
John and Lucy played robot in boxes from Christmas. It was so funny.
Annie is making improvements with her eating, but she still is not great. She does at least swallow some now though.
Check out the crazy long hairs in the middle of her head. There are about 50 of them and Justin won't let me trim them to match the rest of her fuzz.
Lee Lee and Lucy are pretty much inseparable. Lucy is her special little helper and my mom lets her help with absolutely everything. Here they are working on the dishes tonight after bath.

love the pic/day!!!!!! that means more blogging :)
I can identify with the sleep issues, unfortunately. I hope that Annie sleeps better soon...
I love the idea of a picture a day for a whole year! Your girls are both so precious. I know they will appreciate these pictures as they get older.
Also, I never got a chance to say Congratulations! I know you are so excited to have both of your girls home.

Ug. We're in the middle of sleep issues too. When my friends tell me how their 3-9 month olds are sleeping 11-12 hours a night I just hang my head in shame. We're not down till 9:30-10:30 and up at least 2x that can be patted back down and once to be fed then up again at about 5:00-5:30 at which time I always give in and bring her into our bed. We're DELIRIOUS.
LOVE the robot boxes. That is the best fun of all out of christmas.
I'm loving your "day in the life" pictures! Annie's food pic is adorable. Hope she grants you sleep tonight!
BTW- I tagged you!
Sorry to hear about the sleep issues - we went through the same when our daughter came home from Korea. No matter how comfortable and happy she was during the day, she would still have such a hard time at night. She would be restless and often wake up crying and nothing would comfort her, which was so hard for us (and plus we were always questioning if her teeth were hurting or if she was gassy, etc. Looking back I honestly think she was grieving). The good news is that this lasted for about 2 months and then she slowly started sleeping though the night. Having her attached to our bed in a co-sleeper was the best solution because I at least didn't have to get up and go into her room to comfort her. She has been home for almost 6 months now and she is in her own room sleeping through the night. Hang in there - it will get better!
Annie is looking so good and has a nice belly on her. I hope she starts sleeping better for you. That is too cute about Lucy and her grandma. Jade is the exact same way with my mom and my mom also lets her help her with everything.
I wrote the same thing about Linhsey on an old post. She never sleeps but is SO happy all day! Such cute pics.
Love Annie's "long" hairs! Too cute!
so sorry about the sleep though.
I love that you're posting a photo a day!! You can do it! The picture of Lucy with her grandmother in the kitchen is really sweet. It's great to capture those simple moments!! Good luck with Annie's sleeping. It's taking some time w/ Ellie too but I think we're getting there.
Aiden has a cluster of long hair on the side of his head. He used to hold it/grab at it for comfort, but now that he's not I am thinking of cutting them. I think I can get a ribbon around them and save the hair.
Kel, Lucy's hair has grown so long overnight! I know you're jealous of her mermaid hair!
Praying Annie sleeps better.
