265/365

Annie 265/365

Lucy 265/365

Today I am thankful for only having 100 days left to my project! Woooo hoooooo! In the beginning, I wasn't sure I would ever make it to 100, but now 100 seems like nothing. And lets face it, the rest of the year is going to fly by. What I am actually most excited about is being under 100 days to Christmas. Seashy, that is pretty exciting, huh?!?! I would love to hear from you guys for a little encouragement and motivation to finish this out!! It is a lot easier to do this when you guys come out of the woodwork and say hello!! I truly love to hear from you and it is boring to me when I don't. And thanks so much to those of you who regularly comment. There are a handful of you that I know I will always hear from and I love you all!

We had a great time at a delicious dinner last night. The girls never made a peep for the babysitters, which is perfect! A huge storm blew threw while we were at dinner and I was a little worried the thunder would wake up Lucy, but she slept right through it all. Yeah.

The temperature today was so awesome. I am not sure we ever got into the 70s. It actually felt like fall. It was really cloudy all day, but the temperature was just amazing.

I am off to watch The Biggest Loser. Love that show. Counting down until the Grey's premier!!! So excited about that.

You get excited about <100 days and I get bummed :( I love knowing that I can count on a new entry from you everyday!
Hubby has the DVR tonight so I won't see Biggest Loser until tomorrow -- but we all better believe I will be watching LIVE on Thursday so see if Izzy and George are up in heaven together or what!

I LOVE your blog and link everyday to see your beautiful girls! I exspecially when you have done a photo shoot! I have toyed with flying to you to take pictures of my son and I, that is how much I love your work! Is that is insane of my to fly to you? Tell me I am not crazy??? I live in CT but only 40 mins from NYC. Are you ever in that area? If so PLEASE PLEASE look me up.

Thanks so much for doing the 365 day project, it is truly awesome and I will miss it so much when the year ends.

I know I almost never comment, I feel so funny because I am a complete stranger but I guess I feel some connection because I have a 2.5 year adopted son Henry from Kaz.

Thanks again Kelly you are the best and Happy early birthday.

Hugs to you and the girls( by the way your girls are the cutest things EVER!!! )

I think I can speak for many when I say that I am wistful and sad at the idea of your project coming to a close. Your dreams give me continued faith that mine will in time be here. And beyond that, each day is a special one. We can't wait to live for ___(fill in your own blank) to occur. Because milestones and learning happen everyday. That is what I adore about your blog. It is not the Christmas card/bragging blog that so many of us fall prey to share with the world. It is a partial reflection of a life in balance. That takes courage and a person who is willing to look within, regroup, start again and celebrate along the way.

with gratitude and awe

Hi, I'm Kristin. I've been reading your blog for awhile, but this is my first comment. I swear your daughters are the stylish little girls I've ever seen! Where do you buy all their clothes from?!

Kelly said...

Carolyn - Come on down!! I actually have a client flying in later in October. It is quite flattering that someone would go to that effort. Seriously, I would love to meet your Henry. And as a side note, that is one of my all time favorite boy names. It just kills me it is so precious.

I know you will be excited when this project is done, but I will definitely miss your photos each and every day. I always check the blog to see your new posts.

Today's shots were great. :)

Great pictures as always!!! You may be excited to only have 100 to go... but those of us 'addicts' will be bummed to not have an update and beautiful pictures to look at every day. :)

I love your blog and I never miss a post. Your girls are just precious and their photos never fail to bring a smile to my face. Thank you for sharing your lives with everyone! As a side note - I'm looking forward to the Grey's premiere too! And I'd totally forgotten about BL 'til I saw this! Oops - I've been watching DWTS. I love fall TV ;) LOL

Hello! I dont mean to be hiding in the woodwork, but I always forget to comment, or just feel weird because I am a total stranger. ;)
Your blog is such an inspiration to me. Seriously. There are days when I dont turn off my computer at night until I read your posts. Just your awesome pictures, and such positive and encouraging words; Love it!
OH! You mean I could fly down from Michigan and you wouldn't think I was nuts!? Next year we are going to Florida, and I keep thinking we should take a detour to your neck of the woods. You will probably be so famous by then, that it would be years until you could fit me in. I can dream though!
Side note: Henry is supposed to be the hottest name in 2019. How they predict that, I dont know, but I thought I'd throw that in there. I think classic names are so cute!

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I will miss not having your blog to check out every night. I love your pictures and reading your daily thanks.

My husband and I are thinking of starting a blog that is just for the two of us where we post our thanks each day.

uh-oh...just thinking about only 100 days left is a total bummer. I don't comment often, but I am a faithful reader EVERY day. Love to see the pics of the girls, especially since my Katie is exactly the same age as Lucy. I think Miss Lucy is quite the fashionista, and always like to see what cute outfit she is wearing. Katie knows the girls from your blog, and often joins me to see what Lucy and Annie are up to. Hope you continue to blog, so we blog junkies can continue to read!!! Happy Birthday!

Kelley, I LOVE your blog. I am always excited to see what your beautiful little girls are up to. I also think it is AMAZING that you have enough dicipline to take photos and blog everyday. I have a 7 week old and would love to do the project, just not sure when I would have the time. Thanks for sharing a glimpse of your life with everyone out there. We adore your precious family.

Mom said...

Ki--yea you!!! Now, I have already been called by Kelly saying that I am late in posting. BUT, my hubby had the computer and is just now done. So, there you have it.

Kelly, excellent work. Yes, I'm the Mom and have to say that, but, I really mean it. We will probably all hold an election and vote your daily blog to continue. It makes it so wonderful for me to see the girls and what they are up to when I can't be there. So, you really should at least consider it. Sermon ended.

Tiny bit of sun today. It's a start. Glad your weather was good. Looks like Lucy has a thing for her boots. And, she has LOTS of boots to choose from! And, doesn't Miss Annie look quite fab??!!

Paula told me that the storm last night was so loud. Was really surprised that the girls didn't wake up, and she was glad that she wasn't alone at Sloan's apartment!

All well here. Seashy, are you puny?? Let you mama know!!

Love, hugs, and kisses to all. LeeLee

Hi, Kelly! Just wanted to let you know I enjoy reading every day and apologize for not commenting more. I, too, will miss your every day posts. You have showed great dedication to your project! The girls are always as cute as can be--little Annie is reminding me so much of my littlest one in your pics these days. Happy early birthday--you are still soooo young! ;)

I have to get better at commenting (found your Blog through Sugar Blog). You've had such an impact on the photos I take of my daughter (she's 2)--I'm even taking a photography course this fall. I am really looking forward to the next 100 posts and will miss them when they are gone!

I'm coming out of the woodwork to tell you I LOVE reading your blog! Your photography is amazing and I enjoy seeing your adorable girls. Only 100 more days!! But I'll miss your blog every night. I'm a stay at home Mama with a busy hubby, so that's another reason I enjoy your blog :)

Off to watch biggest loser too, totally addicted!

I for one am ready for it to be over. Every night I put my girls to bed and crawl under the covers myself thinking I'm totally going to go to bed at 9 and it's going to feel so good. Then I have to check if Kelly has posted. Sometimes she has, sometimes she hasn't. If she hasn't then I dink around and wait until she does. On the nights she doesn't post till late, I stay up because you know the world will stop turning if I don't see the post every night. It's like pushing that button on Lost. Then I have to look intently at every picture and read the post. Then I usually wait until Lee Lee or Justin comments because my compulsion also comes coupled with guilt and I don't want to steal their "first" thunder. Then sometimes I have to e-mail Kelly to ask more details about things on the blog post or to badger her for photography advice. THEN after all that, I close the computer and go to bed.

So the way I figure it, you owe me about 298 hours of sleep, give or take a half hour. Clearly, neither you nor my children got the memo about me needing 12 hours of sleep to be fully functional. Hope you're happy young lady.

Wow, how big is Annie these days???

I have truly loved this project and seeing your little girls every day. It truly is a big undertaking and you do it every day. I'll miss it when it is over:(

I absolutely LOVE your blog! I found your blog through my friend, Jill D. and was hooked. I was SO jealous that she got you to take pictures of her kids. We live in NWA, but just can never swing the fees (plus new outfits...because you KNOW I'd just have to get new outfits!). Maybe someday when you visit up here and we are still living here we can get it done. Sigh. :-)

I think it's awesome that you've done a post for every day. I'll miss your posts when you don't do them everyday...but I know how hard it is to get pictures everyday and get them online.

Love Liz's comment because it describes me too...I always have to stay up to read your blog and see your wonderful pictures.

I also will be sad when your project is over, but I can see how relieved you will be. You have been so dedicated to get it done...very impressive!

My first thought when I saw your post tonight was...Annie looks like such a big girl! Also I love Lucy's shirt....I just bought that same one for my Ana Kate.

As always...your girls are adorable and I love your photography! I always look forward to more photography tips. :)

I'm in awe of your commitment to the 365 project. I admire you for taking it on AND doing it so well. It really just reflects on the kind of character you have and your desire to succeed, loyalty and commitment. I might do it next year...but we'll see -- its daunting! You can do these last 100 days in a snap...can't wait to see!

Okay so I thought a couple of weeks ago when you mentioned that you were getting close to 100 days that I could stop being lazy and document the last 100 days of 2009.. I didn't look close enough at the date yesterday because as it turns out i'll be documenting the last 99 of 2009;) It's all good though!!

Oh if I flew I would board my family of 6 on a plane and let you work your magic on us.. I'm telling you I cannot find anyone close to me here in Indiana that want's to take our picture without posing us in front of a sheet.. if that's the case I should just go to S.ears (boo) and I don't want that, I want a giant canvas of us in our living room... lol!!

Come January 1 I will have to start a new routine to my day.. instead of grabbing my caffeine and logging on to check your post i'll have to do something else, maybe work - ha who knows!! keep rockin' it girl!!

I don't know HOW you have made it this far. This would be an impossible task for me being a working mother of 2. You are a trooper Kelly! 100 days will fly by. It is going to be wierd for you to not post some days after this is over, but at least you will have more time with your husband at night! yipee!

Hey Kelly,
I've commented a few times before, but I just wanted to pop in and say Hi again and give you encouragement to keep going with project 365. I have loved checking in at the end of each day to check your blog and it doesn't seem complete if you haven't posted yet. I hope to adopt someday and this blog is an inspiration to me (as well as your photography!). Keep up the great work! The girls are such cutie pies!

Kelly, I've been lurking for a long time but never comment. I guess I found my way here through FB? don't even remember. But, I am blown away by your talent! You have been a huge inspiration and I am actually getting my first SLR camera in a few weeks and am signed up for a photography class starting at the end of October. If I can learn to take photos even half as good as you, I'll be happy. It always brightens my day to get on here and see your sweet girls. So, please keep going for the 100 more days...but, know that it makes all of us reading very sad to think the daily posts are close to the end!

Hi Kelly! I saw you had 46 comments and thought I'd make it 47! I want to encourage you too! I love reading your blog and seeing your adorable daughters grow. I also found your blog through Sugar. I have always wanted to adopt and always hoped that we would be able to. My husband loves the idea of adopting, but has been really hesitant about the idea of ourselves becoming parents of an adopted child. It has really been great to be able to introduce him to a family that has chosen adoption! I think he is already feeling more comfortable with the idea of adopting :) Well I'll stop gabbing and say I love your blog and thank you for sharing your life with us! Please don't stop! -Rosie

I love to see the sweet two little faces.

Since I know one day soon they will be all grown up, all go to school; and their mom and dad will be quite busy with career, or with driving them to classes, etc..., so I enjoy for the moment to see them grow up day by day, and what a wonderful year in pictures it has been.

Thank you.

I can't believe you've posted for 265 days. That's amazing. I do hope you will keep it up. It's how I start my morning. You should do this for your mom. As a Grandma myself, I can't imagine the joy she gets seeing Lucy and Annie's adorable faces and reading what they were up to every day. I'm jealous of Lee Lee. So keep making me jealous next year and try posting everyday. You are so good at it. Also, enjoy your photograpy workshop and Happy Birthday.
