Lucy 243/365

Annie 243/365

Today I am thankful for a tear free drop off at Lucy's first day of school and a happy, playful little pumpkin when I returned to pick her up. I think we are going to really like Lucy's teacher. This morning when we were walking in, she told me that she didn't want to go to school. But then when we got to her room and her teacher opened the door, Lucy walked right in and HUGGED her. Lucy never hugs people she doesn't know extremely well, so I felt good about this. Ms. V said that Lucy had a wonderful day. Her class is little, only 8 kids and there were only 5 there today. I think starting out small is much better for Lucy. I really am so proud of her and how well she did. We got frozen yogurt tonight to celebrate being back to school!

I didn't even get Lucy dressed up cute for school today. They talked extensively at the parent's meeting about how important it was to send the kids in very comfy play clothes and shoes. So, unlike my normal self, I listened, and she wore shorts, a tank, and her new tennis shoes. She still looked precious. I cannot wait for the weather to cool off because Lucy has the cutest boots ever for this fall/winter. She is going to be stylin.

A couple of things I am so excited about tomorrow. Number 1 - I am getting a new iPhone. Ever since mine crapped out on me, I have used the phone I had before it. Justin got some Apple gift cards because he has some sort of hook up for anything you can possibly think of and we are both getting new phones. I am SOOOOOOO excited about this. The phone I have been using drops every single call. No lie. It is ridiculous. Number 2 - After the girls naps, I am taking their Christmas pictures. Wish us luck. I know, I know. Seems a little early for Christmas pics, but I am working on getting everything together for La La for Christmas and want to use these pics as part of the promotions and card samples to show clients. You guys are going to die when you see how CRAZY cute their dresses are. I found them on Etsy, which makes me so happy because they are totally unique and original and awesome!!!!! I will hook you guys up with the store once I post the pictures.

If you emailed me about a photography session in Nashville, I have contacted everyone and the spots will be filled on a first come basis. If you emailed me and have not heard back from me, email again because I have had some email issues lately. I hope to get to meet every one of you that emailed me and your precious kids. If you missed that post yesterday and are interested in a La La session while I am in Nashville in early October, email me at info@lala-photography.com to get a spot before they are all filled up.

I am SO happy for Lucy's great first day. Was worth being good to go get yogurt! ha ha She and Annie look happy. Annie looks so SHORT next to sissie!

Had a safe and uneventful trip home. Holly, Adam, John, Wyatt, and Amy are all GOOD! Was so good to spend time with them.

Lucky on the new phone. I need to do that also. But don't ever want to take the time.

Weather is AWESOME! Wish it would stay this way or a while. Beautiful blue sky, white puffy clouds, and cool air. God is good!

Love and kisses to all, Lee Lee

for a while, not or a while! ugh

Holly Dolly--got the computer running. We must have had a power outage while gone, all clocks were crazy, so had to restart the airport. All better now!

How great that Lucy had a wonderful first day! I'm sure the small number of kids in class really did help things. It did for us. Oh, and Petunia has to wear tennis shoes every day for school. That, in and of itself, puts a damper on some outfits, but she probably is more comfy in shorts, etc. Lucy looks so big in those pictures, as well as crazy cute. And your mom is right... Annie looks so tiny.

Feeling a little envious about the iPhone. I want one, but I have to wait for my current phone to die. Watch... this will probably be one phone in the world that will outlive me! :-) Have fun with your new toy!

Can't wait to see the Christmas pics. I'd love for you to do a session with Petunia, but I'm fairly certain she won't cooperate at all, and I don't want to waste your time. When she's older and a little more cooperative...

We had our christmas portraits done last month, so nope it isn't early. YOU can actually order cards now for a discount vs later...we are doing B/W this year.

good luck.

Lucy looks sooooo big in that first picture. She looks really grown up, no baby whatsoever. I can't wait to see you in Nashville. And Justin can probably get some smiles from G. I used to think it was crazy odd when I heard people refer to kids flirting, but Gracie totally tries to get the attention of men. She smiles and giggles. It's probably that no daddy thing.

I have a feeling I know exactly which dress you pick for the girls. If they're it...they are very retro and very cute. I saw them too and was hoping I could order them for Lulu and her sister. Anyway, I won't give anything away (except the name of the dress starts with an "L", which was a name we were considering) and can't wait to see if I'm right! :)

So great that Lucy had a great day at school. Such a big girl!

Yeah, I'm dying about L's school and clothes. They told me her clothes will get ruined because if she doesn't come home dirty, she didn't have a fun day of learning. I went to Target and stocked up on school clothes.

Oh please tell me this means you got to start putting up Christmas decorations the first day of September like you've always wanted!! Justin could hardly protest since it's WORK related...come on Justin, let her break them out, pleeeeease? I know you wouldn't be happy about skipping Halloween decorations but you could have gotten out a FEW of the christmas pieces. Because they are OH-so-Fabulous!

Can't wait to see the pictures! How nice is it for school to start this week? Nothing better than a few hours getting things done and a happy camper when they come home.
