237/365

Lucy 237/365

Annie 237/365

Today I am thankful for this precious little diner in our neighborhood that is so much fun to take the girls for breakfast. They make Micki Mouse pancakes and both girls LOVE them. The food is so yummy, it is cheap, and it is right in our neighborhood, You often see the same people dining there and the staff is family who knows everyone that comes in. I had a session this morning and then we took the girls for breakfast. Annie was having a fussy morning because her mouth was hurting, but getting out for pancakes made her feel much better. I seriously love breakfast food.

Sorry the pictures are few today and not very exciting at all. The good ones are HERE. Go check out the pics of our cute friends from this morning. Love them!

Both girls got their hair cut today. Well, Annie got her rat tail trimmed in the back, and barely trimmed at that. Even though she was on my lap, she was not too sure about getting her hair cut. You can't even tell on her. But I have wanted to chop Lucy's hair again because it has grown so fast. Ever since I saw sweet P's haircut from Our Golden Child (it is a private blog so I am not linking), I have been dying for that cut on Lucy. Of course, Justin is a big wimp and wouldn't let me cut it near as short in the back as I wanted it, but it is still really darling. Lucy was such a good girl. I took her to my hair girl since we were doing more of a real cut and I wanted it done right. You can't really even see it in the picture of her from tonight because this was after bath and it was a million degrees outside. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready for fall. I am over 100 degree days. I will work on getting a better picture of it tomorrow night.

Remember when I said that Annie was walking more? Well, right after I posted that she kind of regressed and was walking very little. However, yesterday at therapy she did a lot of walking and today she was walking more than scooting. I got a good video of it. Her coordination is still quite lacking. She is very jerky and wobbly, but she is walking. And she turned in a full half circle today and headed the other direction. So proud of that munchkin.

And this is a silly video of Lucy, but Lee Lee has requested more videos, so here you go! You can get a better idea of her hair here.

Her hair looks precious! Next time go for the big cut - I would have been a wimp if Taylor hadn't started it but now it is so adorable - we get comments wherever we go. I took in the picture of Gwyneth Paltrow from Sliding Doors when we went to get it "fixed" after the self inflicted mullet. It is seriously one adorable pixie cut.

So proud of Annie for walking and turning around! Go Annie Go!

Wishing I could dig into those Mickey Mouse pancakes myself. Mmmmm - breakfast food is the best.

OK, I went back to read and view! Awesome day at your place! Love, love, little Miss Anners walking so much. She is doing so well. And our Miss Dance-0-rama is such a pistol! There seems to be a slippery/fall down area there by the TV! Lucy's hair looks darling, but I want a close up. I hope that we are as excited about Miss Victoria after meeting her tomorrow! Can't wait to be filled in on everything. Also, when at your 3 year old check up, would you ask the doc about the swine flu, about vaccine, etc. I'm so wanting to keep on top of that. I'm sure I'll have to have it for Camp Aldersgate. Sure do miss and love you guys. Getting so excited to see some big boys here real soon! Love and kisses, Lee Lee

the 2nd video cracks me up. annie is doing what we refer to in our house as "the pimp crawl". Nova used to scoot around like that all the time, with 1 leg dragging behind her. i love it! adore the haircut also!

Both of those girls are simply precious! Really proud of Annie doing such a great job with her walking. And Lucy's dancing reminds me a little of the craziness my Petunia throws down from time to time. LOVE the hair... seriously, love it!

So cute...and of course Linhsey wants to watch the videos again and again. Oh, really cute story. The other day Linhsey was a little naughty and she started to cry. As she was crying she said, " Don't give all my my toys to LUCY!" Not sure where she got that from, but I cracked up and then she did too. After she was done she took me aside and seriously said it again...just to remind me.

My family was "the staff" at a small mom and pop for years and I miss it. They sold about 2 months ago and life just isn't the same. Not a good money maker and dorty, hard work so thank them a bit extra next time you see them and let them know how much you appreciate them being in your community and what they add.

The new owners at my parent's old place thought they could come in, change everything, and have someone else run it while still drawing an income. Small places like that don't work that way. They keep prices low by doing the work themselves rather than hiring out. It's a win-win because they are there making sure the food is great and service top-notch. Once the owners leave the picture some the people working there aren't as "vested" in keeping the place what it should be. They will be doing good to still be in business by the end of the year. A 30-year old business gone like that.

Sorry to go on, guess it was on my mind and I am a sucker for the small-time businesses, it's in my blood!
