220/365

Lucy 220/365

Annie 220/365

Today I am thankful that every morning we can start over with a clean slate. The girls and I did not have the best afternoon. In fact, it was one of the worst we have ever had. Lucy woke up HYSTERICAL from her nap. It started because she sneezed and had snot on her face, which is like the worst thing in the world to Lucy. I ran to get her, got her cleaned up, and she continued to absolutely freak out. She was trying to tell me something but I could not figure out was she was saying because she was crying so hardly. I finally figured out that she was this upset because there was also snot on her dress. So I asked if she wanted a new dress, she confirmed, and I thought we could get settled down after that. Well, no dress would do. She refused anything and everything in her closet and proceeded to cry even harder about this dilemma. I actually stayed totally calm during all of this. I took her in Annie's room and just rocked her to calm her down. She did eventually calm down, get dressed, and start playing. When Annie wanted to play with her, all hell broke loose again. And she got really mean with Annie. I sent her to time out and when it was time to come out, she refused to apologize to Annie. So we dealt with that. It just kept going and going like this. Then Annie turned on me. It was all I could do to get them ready for bed and not lose my mind completely. By the end, I was fried and I had zero patience. It was not a good day for them or for me by the end and I am thrilled that it is over.

Here is how dedicated I am to this 365 project. After this miserable day, I was giving Annie her bottle and rocking her for bed when I realized I had not taken her picture yet. So I got her up and took her outside because there is no light in the house at this point and did a picture of her. Can I get some props for not cheating?!?!

I'm out........

Poopsie, poopsie, poopsie. I've had worse than that in my eye. Now, turn off your computer and get out Dave, American President, or Rudy and make some pop corn. I love those girls so much, as you do too! Glad you stayed calm-exceedingly hard to do. I remember a few hard days with you!!! You'll look back at these precious days and realize they weren't so hard after all (the trials get worse with age!) Give everyone a hug and kiss from me. You are right--tomorrow is a fresh new day! Darling pics. XOXOXOXO Lee Lee

The days where they both fall apart on you are the worst! Those have been pretty frequent around here lately with teeth coming in - we've got one baby on the brink almost all the time the past few days so I'm trying hard to keep her big sister happy.

Thank goodness for bedtime!! And a husband that will be home next week to give you some relief! Hang in there - you are right tomorrow is a new day! Cheers to some good rest tonight.

Even on the horrible day, the pictures are georgous, your dedications are well recognized, and appreciated by us, love your Mom's comment. Tomorrow will be a brighter, happier day, since the girls already spent all their miserable energy today.

Huge props for managing all that, being minutes from having the girls in bed and getting up to take Annie's picture to stay committed to your project. You're an awesome and it sounds like you handed it calmly and patiently. I hope that today is a better day!

Definitely you get props! I think that should qualify as a free pass on a day of your choice!!! What a day. Whew! I'm exhausted just reading about it!

We moms salute you. We know how hard those kind of days are. I hate when no outfit suits Ava and she throws fits about it. It's hard for me not to get frustrated, so good for you. At least it's over now. That's the best part:)

Ugh. What a crappy day. I hate days like that. The funniest line was "then Annie turned on me" Ha! It is so hard when they get so worked up that they couldn't even calm down if they wanted to.
