Thanks!

Thanks for all of the encouragement about Lucy adjusting to school. It is always nice to hear the stories of other people's kids having similar issues and making it through it just fine. I know it is going to take several weeks of adjusting. I just hope she learns to like it. Surely she will. For those of you wondering if I cried, I must say that I really had to choke back some tears when I went back to get her and she was still clearly upset. That was so pitiful and sad to me. It broke my heart. I had several questions about the dress in the past post. It is made by Misha Lulu and I got it from Bella Jacks in Fayetteville, AR. However, it is from this past spring, so it will not be an easy one to find any more. I must say, it is one of her cutest dresses. And one more thing, she didn't actually take the backpack to school. It was just for the pictures. And I totally agree, she looked so grown up with it. She does love that backpack.

Also, I just wanted to say that I get comments all of the time asking me to email someone back with the answer to a question, but I don't have an email address. Unless your blogger account is set up to show your email, I don't see it. So, if you need something and want to email me, my blog email address is listed to the right or you can leave a question and include your email address. I don't want you thinking that I am ignoring you if you have left a comment with a question and I never got back to you. I am sometimes slow, but I do try and get back to the questions that are asked when I can. If you have asked me something and I haven't gotten back to you, please ask again!

We are at my parents. We have been on the go nonstop lately. It will slow down next week. Lucy and I have taken 5 flights in less than two weeks. We are absolute pros at traveling alone. Lucy has been a dream through all of this. No crying, fussing, or anything during any of the traveling. What a trooper! Holly and her family and my sister Amy get here tonight. I hope that Lucy has a good time with her cousins. Here are some pictures from today that were just cute.

Aw, that school stuff would break my heart, picking her up and seeing she's still upset. But I agree, I'm sure after a bit of time she will adjust and do ok. Those pics are adorable, I especially love the ones toward the end with her hand up to her mouth. Such a cutie!

Hi Kelly, I'm going to ask for a little "intro to photography" advice. I didn't really start taking a lot of pictures until after we adopted our 2 kiddos from VN over a year ago. I don't yet have a "big girl" camera but I did get Photoshop this summer but I just don't know where to get started. Anyway, what 3 tools / effects do you use the most or where do you think I should get started? (Any advice would be greatly appreciated!)
Your pictures are inspiring - thanks!
