Weekly Goal #7 and Oscars

Are you watching the Oscars? Who do you think was the best dressed? Right now my favorites are Jennifer Garner and Katherine Heigl. There were lots of beautiful dresses. As I have said before, I love watching the red carpet of the award shows. George Clooney mentioned that he and his girlfriend were in Vegas for Valentine's Day. For some reason, he forgot to mention that he saw me! Ha.

I have been asked many times about what camera I use, and it is the Nikon D40. I have the lens that it came with and the 55-200 VR. I love it and it makes taking pictures so easy. What I really want to do is take a Photoshop class. I think that is where pictures take on a whole new life. Maybe someday.

My personal goal of the week is to start eating healthier. I have been eating so poorly lately. It has to improve. My task of the week is to yet again clean out Lucy's closet. It feels like I did not even do this just a couple of months ago. I really have gotten better about shoppping for her, but her closet is still overflowing with things that are too small since she has hit a major growth spurt. Despite my best efforts of reducing the shopping, I think I have found my all time favorite children's clothes designer. For those of you who know me at all, you know how much shopping we have done for this girl, and to say I think I have found my all time favorite is a bold statement for me. I will share when I get a few pictures of the dresses I got Lucy in Vegas. They are the cutest. I would have liked to get them all, but I held back to only three. Can't wait for summer so we can break them out!

Fun pictures from the weekend

I'm not watching the Oscars (gasp, I know), but I LOVE the Lucy pics - especially the one you mentioned is your favorite as well with her hair in the backlight.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Kel, you're really turning into a great photographer. Photoshop is really easy once you get the hang of it...maybe an online tutorial could help you get started?

Jennifer and Katherine have been my favorites so far too - love the red dress with the shoulder thingy! I also thought Keri Russell looked beautiful. The Lucy pictures just get cuter and cuter!

Kelly--the Oscars are ok, but since I haven't seen most of the movies, only like the clothes. I cannot believe that George did not acknowledge you!! The very idea. Ok, the pics are getting better every day. I love the one you do, but actually I love them all. I need to get a big one in the works of her--so you and Justin can work on my grandbaby wall. I still have to listen to her say el--boowww about fifty times a day! Miss you guys tons. Love and kisses, LeeLee

The blue and brown dress is one of the cutest that I have seen! We watched a tiny bit of the Oscars last night...I have to say that Jennifer Garner,Cate Blanchett, and Nicole Kidman were my favorites! They looked so unbelievably elegant.

Of course, I was wearing my pajamas....ha ha!

Loved Heidi Klum's red dress...definitely my fav.

Although, it doesn't hold a candle to Lucy in her blue and brown. My Lu has that same dress and I love the way it looks with her skin tone!

Your photos are awesome..great job!

Great pics! That tree is very cool!

I watched part of the Oscars. I LOVED Katherine Heigl's dress. There is just something about a bright red evening gown.

I cannot believe you ate next to George Clooney. I don't think I could have kept my composure...he is sort of a "weakness" of mine. Ha ha.

What a beautiful little girl! I can hardly believe how much she has grown. I really wish I got to see her more often. Your pictures of her are so good and your photog skils have really impressed me! Also, I love your goals, very inspiring but they are kind-of making me feel a little lazy! Thanks for the entertainment.

Those are some great photos! I think the first one with her beautiful laugh and the second last one are my favorites.

I have to ask where you got her blue and brown dress as it is adorable! I keep staring at it to figure if I could make it myself. The fabric looks like it would fit right in with my Amy Butler collection.

The twins like seeing Lucy's video...they laugh like crazy and so do I (the accent is to die for!)

I just lost a huge comment - blah blogger.

The lighting in her hair and the coloring on the shadows pics are awesome! Good job, girl! Who made THAT dress!? Give a girl SOMETHING since you just put it out there about your awesome new find and left it hanging! haha

I'm selling off and getting rid of all Addy's clothes that don't fit from her WHOLE LIFE and it is killing me slowly.

Lucy's smile would brighten anyone's day. Photoshop is easy once you learn the tools. There's a book called Classroom in a Book that does a decent job of teaching things. We use the Classroom in a Book series at work.
