I am going to start something new. As I play with learning to use my camera, I am going to work on seeing things the way that Lucy sees them - from her perspective and angle, versus my own. I think I will see some interesting things and I will post them as I catch them. She is so curious and at the age where she wants to touch everything, all of the time. When I try and think about how new so many things are, I can be a little more understanding of why she wants to explore absolutely everything. While it is exhausting to me, it must be so exciting to her. Here are a few of the things that really catch her attention at my parent's house.
When you are in this position..........
you see this.
The kitchen from Lucy's perspective - she works in the lower cabinets in her Vietnam squat, so her main perspective is from this angle
The coffee table - always has something new on it and never fails to attract because of the remotes
These are just some of my favorite new pictures
Today was one of those days with Lucy that I just really cherish. She was in a wonderful mood all day. She was full of giggles, smiles, and fun. She did not need constant attention, but played well all day. She was cracking me and my mom up tonight before bed. She was just being so funny. I love these days.
I am making serious headway with the book. I absolutely love it. I read every chance that I get. I can't get enough of this book. I have been making marks on pages that really made an impact. This is the kind of book that I can pull out, read my notes, and make some adjustments that will improve my day. I have already read 200 pages, so only 115 to go!! I am going to reach my goal of the week. That would have been pretty bad had I not achieved my very first goal. I got some comments that others wanted to do the same idea. That is great! I look forward to hearing your goals. Once I am done, I have several ideas from the book that I want to comment on and discuss. I feel like I am really learning.

Lucy looks darling in brown. I think it's one of her best colors!
Great idea!! LOVE the attitude one...I see that look a lot around here :)
What a great idea with your photos! Doesn't the world look so much better through Miss Lucy's eyes? =)
Can I ask what camera you are using? I just purchased a Nikon D40 and I'm starting to wonder if I made the right choice!
I'm so happy you are enjoying the book and look forward to hearing what you've learned through it. Impressive that you've read so much already. It took me a while to get into it...once it caught my attention...I wanted to make every page last!

Aww, she is so adorable!!! You are so much better than I am with pictures.
I love those pictures and I am glad you are liking the book!
What a great idea.
Those feet!! Ah, so cute.
You're doing great with the new camera - your pics are awesome! Just think how much you're going to accomplish in 2008 with the goal of the week!
I love the pictures, you are so smart! I feel you with the remotes, the end table is a constant battle for us. Have you had any issues with dog food? That is also a constant battle. I am going to try the picture thing. I would love to see what she is seeing. Give Lucy a big hug from Grace and me.
Kel, that is such a great idea! It puts things in such a different perspective when you look at the world through the eyes of others. Glad you're loving the book...it really wanted me to get out and see the world. Miss Lucy is just darling in her new pics! Can't wait to love on her again!
Cool perspective. We have a "baby in the box" series of photos, too, and I love them.
Wow, Miss Lucy has an amazing view of the world around her. What a neat idea.
I love the brown and pink jammies! Too cute! Where do you do most of your shopping for Lucy? Besides my girls I have an 8 month old neice and I'm always on the look out for darling clothes.
Glad you're getting so much out of that book. I've heard that her next book is based on her travels through Vietnam!!!
What great pictures! I have been thinking about reading that book myself, I think you have just convinved me!
What a beautiful little girl!

I LOVE Lucy's kitchen, where is it from?? Sienna needs one!
This kitchen is from Target. It is really cute and compact, so it doesn't take up a lot of space. They also make a lot of cute wooden food and accessories.
