Time to Come Home!!

Our visa interview is done and took about two seconds and once we pick it up tomorrow we are free to come home!!!!! We are hoping and praying that we can get our flights changed. They are being worked on now. Man, I hope we can leave tomorrow night. I am dreading the flight home so much, but I would rather get it over with than sit around and worry about it. I hope it is not too hard on Lucy, or us for that matter.

We went to the water puppet show tonight. I didn't get to see too much of it because Lucy could only handle about 10 minutes of it. Then she and I looked around outside while Justin watched the rest of the show. We bought a suitcase today to get the rest of our stuff home. We probably need two cabs just to get to the airport. We have gotten the most amazing stuff here that we will always treasure. I can't wait to get it all out when we get home and see what all we ended up with. We have bought so much that I don't even really remember what we have.

We are sitting in the restaurant right now and Lucy is making the entire restaurant laugh. Justin is throwing her around and she is full on belly laughing and everyone is laughing along with her. So cute. People just love her and she gets quite a large amount of attention everywhere we go.

I will let you know what we find out about our flights. USA HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kelly,
Great news about the visa! Don't worry too much about the flight...babies don't get the same "cabin fever" that we do. My biggest advice for the flight is to dress her in footy pajamas. We did that for our Lucy when we went to Scotland. That way you do not need to worry about socks, shoes, sweaters, etc. She will be warm and cozy and it keeps things simple. Then, of course, you can change her into her special USA flag dress before you land. It will be a lot fresher that way than if she wears it for the whole flight.
Safe and happy travels!
Sara

How exciting that you are almost home. I have only posted once but have followed you for a long time. ( I was the one who suggested you go to baby gap awhile ago...) Seeing you get your referral, get ready for travel and meet Lucy gives me fuel to be patient as we wait for our referral from another country. Thanks for your blog and all the GREAT pictures. By the way, my husband remarked that from the first pictures of Lucy and the pictures you are posting now, he said that he can see a difference in how happy she seems and that she looks relaxed and happy. Congratulations to you three.

I love you're stories of your shopping! When you said, "I can't wait to get it all out when we get home. I can't remember everything we bought." Reminds of the books, "Shopoholic gets Married" She goes on a lONG honeymoon and shops in every country they visit. 2-semi's pulled up at their flat to deliver everything she bought! She couldn't remember everything. It was a hoot! Hope you get those flights changed!!!

Whoo hooo!! Time to come home!!

You sound like me as far as the shopping. I always buy a TON of stuff. I just can't pass it up. I've been to VN 6 times now and have boxes and suitcases of my treasures in the basement (about half has been given out or used to decorate our home). It's so fun to go through those boxes and find more treasures to pull out over the years. And that smell of VN is STILL in there! I love opening the box for the first time in a while. I'm instantly transported back to VN! Each time we go to VN I think I've already bought everything there is to buy....and I find a zillion more things I didn't get the other times. I'm sure you'll do the same the next time you go back :).
