Here are pictures from our second day at the beach. We spent the entire morning at the beach, came home for lunch and nap, went swimming in the pool (where Lucy mastered swimming with floaties), went back to the beach for a bit, cleaned up and went to dinner, and finally took some pictures on the beach at sunset (which was the most amazing light).

I think we should go and feed those birds, what do you think?
One of my favorite pictures from the week. Austen LOVED the birds.
Now Austen is just chillin......

Beach Baby
We are home from the beach and it was an absolute blast. Lucy had an amazing time playing in the sand, finding seashells, and staying in the shallow part of the water where the waves wash up on the shore. Really, she loved every second of our trip and was such a happy and fun girl. As I knew she would be, she was glued to her Nana's hip, but she really enjoyed Grandy as well. This girl just adores her Nana and Lee Lee. She also had a great time playing with her cousin Austen. They were such cuties together and really warmed up to one another.
Since I took about a million pictures this week, I am going to have to break these posts up. So, there will be three posts of beach pics. These first pics are from Lucy's tractor ride with Grandy, where she got to drive the tractor. She thought she was pretty cool. Then the beach pictures are from our first night at the beach. We got there around 5:30, unloaded the car, and headed straight to the beach. I was so excited to see Lucy's reaction, and it was all I could have hoped for. She was in total awe. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach, and Lucy was not too crazy about it, but it certainly wasn't anything to stop her or us from having the best time. In fact, the first night she was so excited that she didn't really even notice it.
Her first view of the beach with her Grandy.

Family Reunion
We have been traveling nonstop lately. This past weekend we went to our family reunion. It was a great time and so fun to see all of Lucy's little cousins. She really played well with the kids, which was a huge relief to me because I was a little unsure of whether or not she was ever going to play nicely with other kids!
Her sleep schedule has been way out of whack for the past 2 weeks. She has been napping very little, waking up earlier than normal in the mornings, and going to bed way later than normal. It has made for some not very pretty melt downs for Miss Priss. She did sleep in this morning and is taking a good nap right now, but we are flying down to see Justin's parents tonight so I know she is going to get all messed up again. I don't mind her sleeping less, but I can't stand the whining and fussing that comes along with it. I know she needs more sleep than she has been getting. She has been fighting a pretty nasty cold, so maybe now that that is clearing up things will get better.
We are going to the beach with Justin's whole family and I can't wait!! It is going to be so much fun. Be watching in the next couple of days for lots and lots of beach photos. WOOO HOOO!! I am just so excited to see how Lucy reacts to the sand and ocean.
Here are some pictures from the family reunion.
Lucy's cousins - Ellie, Lexi, and Lauren
All of the kids from the reunion - plus my mom because Lucy was having a moment of fussiness and would not sit without my mom!
Our cousin Ellie - she is so adorable and just loved Lucy. Lucy had such a great time with Ellie and Lexi.
Cousin Kate - she is about 9 months older than Lucy. They were also adorable together.
Friends!! Lucy's dress was drenched by this point, so she was down to her tank top and bloomers.
Kate's brother, Sam
Kate is such a doll
