Today I am thankful for Lucy thinking that the picture below from US Weekly was her momma!! I was holding the magazine and she says, "Look Momma!! You're in the magazine!!" Justin jumped up from his chair because he was so excited to see who Lucy thought was me. He quickly said, "I have gotta see this." We both had a good laugh. This is Bridget, one of Hef's former girlfriends from Girls Next Door. I felt good about Lucy's thinking because I pretty much ate around the clock from Thanksgiving until now. I would be more than a little scary in a bikini right about now, but my girl, she still thinks I look great!! Gotta love that.
I knew when we got the Hello Kitty gum ball machine that it would be Lucy's favorite present. She LOVES gum. I was right. I also knew that it would be the most annoying present because we would have to limit her to one or two pieces a day. I was right about that, too. She talks about wanting gum all of the time. Since she knows it is driving us nuts, she has started reverse psychology on us and constantly says, "I can't have any gum right now." When we don't respond, she then says, "Right mom? I can't have any gum right now?" I confirm that she can't and then she gets a little sad. She never throws fits about it, but she talks about it all of the time.

I LOVE that first picture. She has the most amazingly beautiful eyes!!
Just wanted to pop in and let you know I'm still here, reading quietly in the background. Also, congrats on the super nice compliment from Lucy!!
LOVE that gumball machine! Too cute!! Sophie commented about that same picture in the same magazine today... only she said, "look mom, people exercising and wearing bathing suits"... no mention of her momma rocking that body! LOL!
Lucy is so darn cute... I know you could just eat her up!
I am cracking up about Lucy's comment! You should feel very good about yourself right now! H-O-T Mama!!! I'm glad Cole can't talk much now! There's NO telling who he would think I looked like in a magazine;)!
May I have a piece of gum, please??? Love these sweet pics, and it is very lucky how good you look in the bathing suit!! he he he
Did you talk to Holly? Both little guys have tubes in their ears that have already started to help! Yea!
Hug and kiss those girls for me. Love, LeeLee
Annoying - YES, i must agree...we have the gumball machine and the water dispenser! Not sure what I was thinking when I bought them - but they were just so cute!! I ended up having to take the gum out because my 3 yr old kept throwing full on tantrums when I told her she couldn't have more gum.
I remember you saying the girls loved to play games on your iphone. I just downloaded one called Cookie Doodle that I'm sure your little Lucy would love. It's super cute!
Ok, that cracks me up. At least it is someone hot. Elizabeth thinks I am on the cover of Newsweek... Sarah Palin. She always brings the magazine to me or Erik and says, Mama. 'Thanks' is about my only response. When is she going to carry out the picture of Jennifer Aniston?
how awesome that she thought that was you...way to go mom! my twins call me "big mama". so what does that tell you? :) the pictures look so adorable. love the gumball machine and i can totally see the addiction.
Our daughter got the same bubblegum machine from her UNCLE who has no children! HA!!! But, our bubblegum is gone, and has been for about a week. She has two older brothers who helped, but that girl had gum in her mouth constantly! Now, I just refuse to refill it!
OMG you totally look like that chic! That's awesome!
Love the gumball machine! I love her reverse psychology!
I almost bought the same thing for Maddie but thought it would be a nightmare keeping it from Malia! And it totally does look like you thats awesome! Love that your still posting lots for us all!!
What a cute post! I thought it looked like you : )
We recently drove past a retirement home, and when Katie asked what it was, my husband explained that it is a place for old people to live. Katie replied, "oh...like Mama"? Boy, I sure would like to be mistaken for a playboy bunny! That Lucy is just too darn smart, love the angle she uses to confirm that it indeed is NOT time for gum. I have always told my kids that you have to be 6 to chew gum...it is the law, and Mommy does not want to get in trouble! So far it is working like a dream. Every time she sees gum, she says, I'm too little!
PS...Probably just me, but that top pic of Lucy looks so much like Annie to me!
Laney got the same gumball machine and has the same intense love for gum that Lucy does. She loves dispensing the gum and watching it twirl down about as much as the actual chewing. I, of course, love all the precious pictures of your girls!
I think that pic does look a bit like you!
One day we were at the mall and Ava saw a large Victoria's Secret poster and said, "there's mama!" I said, "That's right, honey!" At least I'm beautiful in my daughter's eyes b/c Lord knows I look NOTHING like a V.S. model!!
Lucy is one smart cookie...reverse psychology at her age...love it! Too funny about Bridget too...you know, you do look a bit like her. Did she find a picture of Monica Lewinsky and think it looks like her Aunt Shawna? That's not too far off this post-holiday season. Too cute, I'm so sad I missed them at Christmas this year.
Oh yeah, and I had a gumball machine when I was younger, and it was my absolute favorite present too! I was never quite that angelic though about asking for gum...I would always just sneak it and then get in trouble afterwards!
Ya know, Bridget kinda does look like you! The smile and everything!
I can actually see the resemblance between you and the Playboy chick. She wasn't completely off the mark!
Lucy-such a sweet soul!! Life doesn't get much better than a gumball some days!!! And her comment is spot on!! I was sure that was you :)-too cute that Lucy!!
