Even though I have not been blogging very well lately, does not mean that we have not been busy. We have been doing all kinds of fun things lately.
First, my new favorite place is the Farmer's Market. I find it completely ridiculous that I have not been there before a week ago, but I am starting to go every Tuesday morning to get our produce during the summer. Lucy and I had a great time there last weekend and we got fresh peaches, blackberries, raspberries, plums, tangeloes, cantaloupe, avacado, corn, tomatoes, potatoes - red, baking, and sweet. Lucy has been eating so well this week!! Yeah. Lots and lots of fruits and veggies. Justin's parents grow an amazing vegetable garden every year, and so far we have gotten squash and green beans from them. I cannot wait for the tomatoes and corn. It is so yummy!! We also got two of the most beautiful hydrangeas and 2 big hibiscus plants from the farmers market. I have had some planters for a long time and never gotten anything in them, but they look awesome now.
We went to the zoo with some friends this morning and went swimming this afternoon. Lucy has not been in a big swimming pool this year until today. I wasn't sure what she would think of it, but she LOVED swimming. She loved to jump of the edge to me and even let me put her all the way underwater several times. We still need to work on keeping her mouth shut, but she is going to be a great swimmer this summer.
Here are a few pictures from this week.

I agree, Farmer's Markets are the best! We have several here in Amish Country. We're going Strawberry Pickin' tomorrow and Lu is so excited to make homemade jam. Well, we're going to ATTEMPT to make homemade jam. I'll be sure to post the outcome!

Your hydrangea are so beautiful - they are my very favorite flower!
Oh I love the hydrangeas!! I am so glad that Lucy was loving the big pool. Hopefully this summer you can bring her over to swim again with the girls and Lila can teach her to blow bubbles! And can you believe only 3 more weeks until the reunion?!

That does it. I MUST get to the farmers market pronto. My body is dying for some good fresh veggies and fruit. It's just a shame our best market is a little bit of a drive from my house. Oh, well, I gotta go!
